Highlights of this Boston boat tour

  • This Boston Ghost tour cruise has live narration about haunted Boston
  • George’s Island (Fort Warren): Most famous for the ghost of the Lady in Black, said to be the spirit of a woman who tried to rescue her husband from the fort during the Civil War. She was caught, tried as a spy, and executed. Her ghost is said to still haunt the fort.
  • Spectacle Island: Once used as a trash dump and a quarantine site, it has a history of strange sightings and mysterious lights. Though now a park, its past gives it a reputation for lingering spirits.
  • Thompson Island: Known for its 19th-century school for orphaned boys, the island has stories of unexplained noises and ghostly figures, especially after dark.
  • Peddocks Island: Home to the remains of Fort Andrews and abandoned structures, the island is rumored to be haunted by former soldiers and prisoners.
  • Castle Island (Fort Independence): Linked to the legend that inspired Edgar Allan Poe’s The Cask of Amontillado. A murder at the fort in the 1800s led to ghost stories that still circulate today.
