Our family of 4 adults went on the cruise on their first day on the water. The staff was friendly and tried to accommodate to whatever we wanted. They took time to talk to us and ask us how we were, etc. great crew and a fun time out!

We celebrated my father’s 83rd birthday by gathering on board the Beacon. It was a gorgeous day…the kind you wish for…warm and crystal clear. We all really enjoyed our tour of the harbor islands. We rode in comfort and style and the service was top notch. Although we had all been on similar trips over the years, we saw new things and it was agreed upon at the end to be an especially memorable experience. We count ourselves lucky to have had great weather and chosen a comfortable and enjoyable excursion!

The Captain and First Mate were extremely knowledgeable about Boston Harbor, its islands and its history. They were very polite, professional, and personable. The narrative kept this 2 hour cruise very entertaining and interesting. We saw all the sites of interest in the harbor, including Boston Light and the USS Constitution. There was plenty of room to move about. You could go out on either sundeck, at the bow or the stern, to enjoy the sunshine or sit under the canopy and relax and enjoy the fresh air and harbor breeze. If you want an enjoyable, relaxing, scenic, personal tour of the islands and surroundings in Boston Harbor, then choose the 2 hour cruise aboard the Beacon. You won’t regret it.

We’ve lived in Boston for years but never experienced the harbor like this! The fall colors were breathtaking, and the brunch was yummy. Sitting by the window with a warm coffee, watching the leaves reflect on the water, was so peaceful. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the season at a slower pace.

I’ll never forget this night—I proposed to my now-fiancé on this cruise, and it was absolutely perfect! The jazz music set the mood, and the champagne tasting gave me the perfect excuse to pop the question. When I got down on one knee, the band even played our favorite song in the background. Okay, so we weren’t sure if a ‘romantic’ cruise would work for a girls’ night, but it was perfect! The jazz music was fantastic, and the champagne tasting made us feel fancy. Definitely bring a sweater as it can get a bit chilly, even in the summer. Also, for the ladies wondering what to wear, casual was fine for this. I wore jeans, blouse, sweater and flats. The captain and 1 crew member were super nice and the music selection was great for a relaxing, fun time.

This cruise was such a unique way to celebrate the 4th of July! Watching the U.S.S. Constitution exchange cannon fire with Fort Independence was incredible, and the brunch was delicious. The kids loved it, and we got some amazing family photos with the skyline in the background.

We had a great time on the Holiday Sunset Cruise; despite being locals, we had never done this before so thought we’d give it a go and are glad we did. Travelling on a sailing boat gives a sense of serenity while also being close to the elements. The views around the harbour and back to the city are beautiful. The crew and particularly our captain, Alison, were professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. Sipping a glass of wine while watching the changing colours across the harbour as the sun went down is a truly fabulous way to end a great day of sightseeing in Boston.

The two hours we spent on the sailboat were the most relaxing two hours I have had in some time. It was absolutely beautiful, the staff was helpful and kind and the next time I am in Boston I will be going on another sail. What a beautiful night it was for a sail. Plenty of wind to allow the great crew to do their thing. Pushing 10 knots on smooth water is a quiet, thrilling yet relaxing time. The sunset was fantastic, wish we could post a picture here.

It was one of the most fun filled nights on the water I’ve had in a long time. Sailing around Boston Harbor, going by the Islands what more could you want for a summer. Boston has the most beautiful skyline. I will be back before the summer is over.

This was a great way to spend an evening getting to see a different side of Boston. The crew was super friendly; pointing out landmarks and making sure we got a great sunset photo. We took the Adirondack sail on Labor Day and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. The sail was smooth, the view beautiful, and the crew was so personable and fun. They also had a nice assortment of drinks at a very reasonable price point. We loved the fireworks!15 minutes into the sail we decided this needs to become an annual tradition…… so we will be back!

“Battle of the Barges- fireworks”. First time to Boston and booked this nighttime cruise. Captain and crew were nice and attentive. Fruit, pastries, beer, wine and soda served onboard. Sitting in the harbor watching one of the best firework displays ever ( Labor Day weekend) then another hour cruise around the harbor. Great weather and great time.

My fiancé and I wanted to do something fun and relaxing Sunday morning and this was the perfect way to learn about Boston, be outside and enjoy the summer weather, sip on some mimosas and relax on the water. Fabulous evening cruise in the Bay – From the polite and attentive staff, to the captain who made sure everyone on the boat had a view – the sailing was great an our family had a blast. Would definitely recommend this schooner as seating and views are fantastic.

the ship is quite comfortable and only carries about 40 passengers. we sailed within a small flotilla of tall ships which allowed a very good view ans sense of being a part of the event not just a tourist. the staff and crew were very professional and the service and snacks were perfect. I’m planning to take one of their harbor island picnic tours next summer
